The Happo hotel in Hakuba, Nagano Prefecture, is one of the first hotels in Japan to implement a truly paperless, automated check-in. Check-in time is less than one minute thanks to Onuma Group's software solution and processes.
Guests are able to complete their details conveniently online via mobile phone or desktop at any time ahead of arrival. This includes signing of the registration card.
The hotel will send the mobile key to the guests' mobile phones just before arrival so there is no need to pass by reception. For guests who prefer use of a key card, the key can be collected at reception on arrival without the need for any further formalities.
An email check-out invitation will be sent to guests in the evening before the day of departure and guests can conveniently confirm their departure details, review their bill and settle the bill via mobile phone.
These processes cut administration time significantly and allow guests to spend a quality time from start to end. It also frees up guest services staff to focus on the guest experiences.
